Australian Women Writers Challenge 2018

AWW-2018-badge-rose

This is the seventh year of the Australian Women Writers Challenge.  I joined the Challenge a few years ago, thinking that it would be a challenge for a year or two.  I mean, how many Australian Women Writers are there?

Well, last year I read (and wrote reviews for) more than 60 novels by Australian Women.  I probably read (and reviewed) a similar number in 2016.  And I suspect I’m hardly making any inroad at all into the wonderful reading material on offer.

This year, I’ve started with the modest total of 20 (but who do I think I’m kidding?  I’ve already got about 50 books calling for my attention).  My list will grow, of course, as my fellow readers tempt me with their reviews.  And we’ll all have a lot of fun.

I’m only participating in two reading challenges this year (I really need to save some leisure time for cross-stitching, and there’s some quilting I want to do as well).  Both of my reading challenges are for Australian authors, and that should take care of about 50 of the books I intend to read this year.

If the Australian Women Writers Challenge appeals to you (you don’t need to be Australian of a woman to join in), I’ve included a link to the sign-up page below.

Happy reading!
