  1. Good article. We in the West have been used to assimilating ‘others’ by having them come to us, poor and in need of opportunity and dumping their past, especially by the generation of children born into the new country. Which is unbelievably self-centered.

    We could do that – when we weren’t all so connected. Now those who try are the xenophobic. We have too many of them. It leads to great ugliness.
