Oriental Fans – Counted Cross Stitch

I had this counted cross stitch kit in my stash for some years.  In August I decided it was time to work this beautiful design by Joan Elliott.

It took me four months, and I finished it on Christmas Day.  The dimensions are 9″ by 26″.  I have stitched James Himsworth’s gorgeous samurai, and I have some beautiful geishas to complete as well.  One day.

  1. They are lovely, and look beautiful framed.

Haven’t been up to embroidery lately – it’s all I can do to sit and watch TV in the evenings, but should be back at it soon, when I can breathe a bit better – perfect for keeping hands busy so I don’t munch mindlessly.

My tapestry has a big section coming of cross-stitch. It’s such an easy thing to do. Nice, calm stitching.
