Belconnen Library

I love bookshops and libraries.  When I first moved to Canberra in 1974, there were many bookshops to explore – especially in Civic. I used to visit the Dickson branch of the ACT library regularly.  There’s no way I can afford to buy all of the books I read.  These days, the Belconnen branch of the ACT library (above) is my local library.  And my favourite bricks and mortar bookshops are Dymocks Belconnen,  and Ron’s Book Shop (second hand bookstore) in Hawker.
Whenever I go to Tasmania, I always visit Petrarchs, and Birchalls in Launceston, and the Hobart bookshop in Salamanca Square.  You never know what you might find in a bookshop:  which new friends (books) await your discovery, which old friends (books)
are waiting to greet you.  And secondhand bookshops have their own special magic.  Books are very special friends.  Which bookshops are your favourites?
